Behind The Line Podcast

On my way to work this morning I was listening to national news like I often do. Mostly the new stations are just Democrat propaganda machines but I still like to listen to see what’s going on and how it’s being spun. This morning was particularly interesting; first it was an interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom about his state and his thoughts about Republicans and the election. Then it was a reporter from yahoo news covering different election topics. It was amazing to hear them both outright lie and twist the facts. If peopl3 are actually listening to that garbage and believing what they say it’s no wonder the country is where it is and where we’re headed.

Violence and Crime

To me this is the biggest selling point for Dems to be removed from office. Crime and violence have spiked dramatically in the last two years. Newsom sort of admitted this but the Yahoo reporter outright denied it and said crime is going down. No stats show that. I live in Seattle and can tell you with certainty crime has go e way up, violent crime especially. Vehicle thefts are at an all time high. Homicides, an all time high. Along with every other crime; theft, burglary, assaults, etc. Democrats claim its not because of their policies. The decline e started with their response to covid and the whole George Floyd debacle. Defending the police which became a Democrat rallying cry all over the country. Yahoo reporter claimed that didn’t happen and democrats actually gave more money to police. You can’t claim they gave more money when they were only replacing the money they took away and in some cases having to up the amount to deal with increased crime and loss of officers due to the way they were being treated and being fired for not getting vaxxed. Having to offer huge hiring bonuses to bring officers back. Repaonse times across the country have become laughable. In some cities you’re waiting hours for a cop. Even for serious in progress crimes. Democrat judges and prosecutors are not charging or holding criminals. You’re seeing people with upwards of 40 arrests being released or not even booked. The recent family kidnapped and murdered in California, that guy should’ve been in jail 3 more years but they released him early. 2 people just murdered in Seattle, one stabbed over 100 times, the guy was released 2 days prior. 69 prior arrests. Most recently for threatening to kill someone. This plays out over and over all over the country. Politicians, Mayor’s, city councils have tied officers hands by relaxing or eliminating laws and what is considered crime. Taking away arrest authority. In Seattle they even took away officers less lethal options. Why? Because of a couple bad cops? When there are literally tens of thousands doing a good job everyday. There has to be consequences for crime. No matter what they tell you consequences are a deterrent, for aome. They are playing on people’s emotions. Creating chaos so they can ultimately obtain more control. If you actually read the news or watch it you can see all this going on. Yet they deny it hoping you won’t check for yourself. Do your own research so to speak.

Gun Control

Of course Yahoo reporter said that gun control is a huge issue and needed. I can tell you from more than 20 years of criminal justice experience, gun control doesn’t work. There are plenty of studies that prove this as well, and just as many in support of gun control. Criminals don’t care about your laws. So you’re only really affecting law abiding citizens. Criminals will get guns if they want them. Period. I’ve arrested plenty of people with guns who weren’t supposed to have them. Limiting magazines will do nothing but make someone carry extra magazines and reload. More people are killed with knives and by drunk drivers than guns, what are we doing about that? No this is about your ability to protect yourself when the government won’t. And its quite apparent they don’t want you too. They don’t want you to be able to stop the chaos. Most, if not all, of these people who commit mass shootings aren’t Republicans. They aren’t members of the NRA. They’re lunatics who need mental health care which the government won’t address or talk about. Mental health was greatly reduced in the 90s and needs to be brought back. The reporter went on to say gun control in big cities works! Just look at Chicago. Gun free city. It’s like a warzone. Every weekend. 14 people shot in one shooting on Halloween including three kids. These rules don’t work because only criminals have guns. It’s so obvious. If you have a gun you should be licensed and have training. No question. But it should be at a reasonable cost. Background checks? Yes. But not abused by liberal cities. If someone with a gun is making threats or has mental issues then they should be able to get treatment, against their will if needed, like they used to do. I have a right to defend myself. That’s why it’s the 2nd Amendment in the Constitution. It’s that important. If you think the government is going to protect you with a piece of paper just ask any of the many victims of violations of restraining orders and no contact orders. If you think the police will protect you, don’t be naive. I was a cop for nine years. Worked in criminal justice for more than 20 years. We generally show up after something happens and have to clean up the mess. I stopped a few crimes before they happened by doing Terry stops and being nosey. But those are largely frowned on or all out banned now. So you have to protect you. Plain and simple.


Rules & Regulations

I think most of us can agree less beauracracy is a good thing. The wheels of government turn painfully slow. Getting anything actually accomplished with government is nearly impossible. And with this Administration government rules and regulations have increased 45%! This is the biggest increase since Clinton was President. It does nothing but bog down everything. It raises prices for consumers and is contributing to our inflation. What has it accomplished? America is no longer self dependent. We rely on other countries for so much, to much, including things we need for our infrastructure. Those things should come from within. Oil, energy, food. We are capable of being self dependent but our government chooses not to be. Farmers in Washington lost hundreds of acres because they were forced to plant trees along streams on their property instead of crops. They talk about tearing down dams that provide needed irrigation and energy. They cone up with all these pipe dreams for green energy and electric cars but have no plan or infrastructure to make that happen. But they’ll go ahead and ban all the things we currently rely on now with the hopes and dreams their big plans will magically happen. It makes no sense. They don’t want you driving gas cars. Eating meat. Using gas generators or leaf blowers. Meanwhile states California are running out of drinking water and don’t have adequate energy. Where are our priorities?

Abortion

They claim abortion is the biggest issue for voters. Really? Your ability to get an abortion means nothing to me. It doesn’t help me when I go to buy groceries, pay bills or buy gas which have all skyrocketed under this Administration’s inflation. That’s what most people care about. Not killing babies. Because yes, that’s what it is. Millions of them. Abortion is not health care, unless the mothers life is at stake. It’s being used as birth control because people are to lazy or don’t want to use protection. Protection which can already be obtained for free. More money should be spent on education and contraception. This again is made to play on people’s emotions. Get you upset about health care and “rights.” The power to make this decisions should lie with the people and that’s what the Supreme Court did, return that authority to the people. This decision also has nothing to do with LGBTQ rights and the fact they try to tie the two together is again, another play on your emotions. Republicans don’t want to go after your right to marry. Atleast they shouldn’t. Or right to actual health care. Yes I am pro life. If a mothers life is at stake then I do believe she should be able to make that choice. Rape and incest I understand why someone may want to get am abortion but then I look at my kids, my grand daughter, her sweet innocence and I just don’t know how someone could do that. It’s not that poor baby’s fault. But, those are just my feelings. And I know when it comes to abortion a man should have no say. My body my choice right? Even though a Dad should have some input in the life he helped create and would help raise.

Inflation

Someone recently said “we have the lowest inflation in the world,” ya the lowest highest inflation we’ve ever had. That would be our President. It’s all Russias fault right? That’s what he says. Only its not. Pumping trillions of dollars into our economy while simultaneously shutting it down because of covid is the cause of inflation. It doesn’t take an economist to understand you can not flood the economy with money like that. Or maybe it does. People don’t seem to understand basic economics and the government doesn’t want you to either. Telling people they don’t have to pay rent or electricity bills. There is no free money and we seeing the fallout from that now.

Covid

In my state, Washington, the governor declared a state of emergency, like many other states. It last almost 1000 days. We became a dictatorship. Our representatives were not allowed to meet so the governor got to make all the decisions. He wrote proclamation and proclamation setting new rules and regulations. Fired thousands of people for not getting vaxxed. Shut down thousands of businesses. Had his enforcement agency fine the ones who wouldn’t comply hundreds of thousands of dollars. Created ridiculous mask mandates that made no sense. California’s stare of emergency will last until February 2023. Democrat leaders took advantage of this situation to have full control.

The Biden administration’s repsonse to the covid pandemic crippled this country. Vaccine mandates. Mask mandates. Tens of thousands of Americans lost their jobs for refusing to get vaccinated. This coming from the party of my body my choice, yet telling you you have to put an untested, unproven vaccine in your body. A normal vaccine is tested for 10 years before it’s released to the public. And then all the flip flopping from their so called experts during the course of this pandemic.. And they wonder why people have such a hard time believing their “experts.” Just as manybexperts and studies were done showing how unsafe they were. Natural immunity was completely overlooked. Schools were shut down across the country and now we’re seeing the results from that, our kids are so so far behind in education. More than a year in some cases. There was no adequate infrastructure in place to support remote schooling. High speed Internet for some reason is still not available in many parts of the country. Kids don’t have laptops or schools couldn’t provide them. And magically like so many other of the democrats plans this was just supposed to happen somehow. No plan in place. Tens of thousands of businesses were shut down, many permanently. Supply chains were interrupted because people couldn’t go to work. Or they were scared to go to work. Which caused shortages across the world many of which we’re still seeing today. The government has no right in a free country to tell you you have to inject something into your body. The government has no right to tell you in a free country that you’re non essential or your business is non essential. But this is what happened and for the most part people just rolled over. Democrats love to operate with the fear factor and you’re seeing it now with all the talk of nuclear war. They get what they want by telling you you’re going to die or you’re goning to lose your job or there’s going to be a war. They yell you that republicans cause violence. That republicans will take away your rights or the democracy of this country if they’re elected. That we are terrorists. It’s absolute nonsense, but you hear the media and Democrat politicians spewing this misinformation every day. If you don’t know what a narcissistic sociopath is you should go look the definition up. It pretty much defines every Democrat politician there is. It’s like we’re in an abusive relationship with the government of our country.

Supply Chain & Shortages

The supply chain problems we’ve seen under the Biden administration are nothing less than historic. These were directly caused by his policies. Not allowing truckers to go to work. Not allowing port workers to go to work. Not allowing distribution centers to operate. The baby shortage formula caused by truckers not being able to deliver and exacerbated by the Biden administration’s FDA who shut down one of the only baby formula producing factories in the country at a time when things weren’t operating as normal already. Now we’re facing an oil, gas and diesel shortage because Biden won’t allow oil pipelines to operate and won’t allow drilling to happen. Oil companies don’t want to invest in new refineries or drilling operations that are allowed because of the green agenda and their desire to ban gasoline by 2035. He’s opened our oil reserves, to supposedly lower gas prices in the United States, but then sells those reserves to China. We have a looming LPG shortage and he continues to sell LPG to Europe in record amounts.. The Northeastern United States has already been warned there will probably be rolling blackouts this winter because of the LPG shortage. The Southeastern United States is currently under a diesel shortage warning. If trucks and trains, which operate on diesel, cannot move then you’re not going to have anything when you go to the grocery store or other stores.

Homelessness

Homelessness has become a huge problem in this country especially in the blue cities. I live in Seattle and they spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year to to help homeless and yet the problem has continued to get worse. Washington State last year spent nearly a billion dollars on homeless and in the coming year of budget the governor has already said that hes going to have to spend more to spend more. The money we’re spending is not doing anything to help the problem, it continues to get worse . In Seattle alone there are over 40000 homeless people. In Seattle homeless people are overwhelming the fire department, police department the healthcare system. Hundreds of millions of dollars that could be spent on local taxpayers and benefits for local taxpayers are being wasted on the homeless. Our city streets have become a disgusting mass of garbage and graffiti, tents and encampments. There’s open drug use in many parts of the city. There’s mental people walking around harassing people trying to go to and from work and school. Crime has skyrocketed because they must steal to buy their drugs. Physical and sexual assaults are up. Car theft is out of control. You should be able to walk around the streets of your city without fear of being accosted by some drug crazed, mental homeless person. And these are not problems that are just Seattle problems, you see this across the country and all the big blue cities. And yet year after year it continues to get worse. No matter how much of our money they throw at the problem. These are Democrat policies in action. In a recent interview with California governor Gavin newsom he stated there was about 160,000 homeless people in California. I believe this is severaly under estimated just based on yhe number we have in yhe city of Seattle alone. Homeless people get arrested and released over and over and over.. Judges and prosecutors won’t prosecute or hold them. There’s no adequate mental health system to put them in so they’re left on the streets for the rest of us to deal with day in and day out. In most of these cities where this is occurring democrats have been in control for years. And yet somehow they’re pointing their finger at republicans when they had control and the ability to fix this problem for a long time. Crime and homelessness goes hand-in-hand. Many of these homeless don’t want to be in a shelter provided by these cities because it would mean that they can’t come and go as they please and can’t use drugs as they please. These policies need to be changed. Our hard earned tax money needs to be put to better use than the way these cities are throwing it away.

Borders

More than 2 million illegal immigrants across our border this year. This year! What else needs to be said? This is a problem. No other country in the world allows this many people to come across their border unchecked. Take for example Canada, if you want to migrate to Canada you have to prove to them that you will be a productive citizen. You have to prove that you’re educated and have a job lined up before you can move to that country. Imagine if they tried to enact those laws here.We have laws to protect our borders for a reason. And yet many state and federal authorities choose to ignore those laws. It’s so incredibly hypocritical that these state and federal authorities choose to ignore these laws, What would happen to you if you decided to ignore laws? You would be fined or go to jail. What is the big problem with illegal immigration? It overwhelms our local, state and federal resources. Many illegal immigrants choose to go to the emergency room for medical care instead of a primary care doctor. That’s why when you go to the emergency room you have to wait 6 to 8 hours to be seen. They’re overwhelming our school system in border states and sanctuary states cities. These kids come to school and speak no English and it takes resources away from kids who are there legally, to get an education. They overwhelm our state and local budgets because these sanctuary locations choose to provide them with all kinds of benefits. Housing, food, cell phones, medical care and other things. Benefits that some American citizens are in need of but can’t get. Benefits that many veterans of wars fought for this country can’t get. Many of these people aren’t vetted before they get into the country. There’s been stories in the news recently of Iranians and Chinese crossing at the border. We don’t know what these people’s intentions are. Many of them come up here to sell drugs or join gangs. Many of them come here and commit crimes. A high profile crime that was recently in the news is the illegal immigrant who assaulted Paul Pelosi in his home. This guy has been in the country illegally for many years. He’s mentally ill, on drugs and homeless. I think it’s particularly amusing because the guy is the poster child of the Democratic Party and the things they stand for; homeless, drug use, mentally ill. All the things they love to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on. And yet now they’re trying to claim this guy is some kind of right wing fanatic. No this guy is a left wing nut created by democratic policies and they need to own it. The other thing they never like to talk about with the open borders is all the elicit drug trade and human trafficking that comes across the border. Why don’t they care about the thousands of people who are being trafficked across the border and sold into slavery in this country. Why did they choose to just ignore this problem. Why do they choose to ignore the tens of thousands of pounds of illegal drugs that come across the border every year and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans? You bring millions of people across the border who are not educated and have no job skills and have to rely on government support to survive and what will be the outcome? We’ll be a 3rd world country and we’re well on our way to that now. The borders need to be fully secured whether that’s with a wall or electronic surveillance it doesn’t really matter, but we need secure borders and we need to follow the legal process for immigration into this country.

Democracy as we know it be gone if you elect Republicans

Seriously. They are desperately on TV and the radio saying this everyday now. Democracy as we know it did die over the last two years. All their authoritarian governance and rules. They attacked our way of life. It will take years to recover from what the Democrat’s have done. The question now if are we going to add to those years and spin further down this hole of socialism or are we going to start making changes towards getting back to what we had?
